Policy System

One policy framework for authorised company bookings

These policies apply to enquiries and services requested through the website, telephone, WhatsApp, email, Gurugram office, Pune office or another authorised DG Singhania Packers channel.

Separate Gurugram and Pune policy versions are not required. The same companywide policy framework applies, while the written quotation records the actual goods, route, access, packing, labour, vehicle, charges, taxes, optional services and customer responsibilities for each booking.

Document boundary: Policy pages explain general rules. The written quotation and confirmed written changes define the individual service. Nothing in the policies excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Document Hierarchy

How general policies work with booking documents

Use the more specific written record when it is consistent with applicable law.

1

Applicable law

Mandatory legal rights and obligations remain controlling where they cannot be changed by contract.

2

Policy pages

Explain general service rules, responsibilities, exclusions and support processes.

3

Written quotation

Confirms the actual goods, route, packing, labour, vehicle, access, charges and optional services.

4

Confirmed written changes

Record added goods, changed route, new date, extra service, changed access or another agreed update.

Written Scope Checklist

What the quotation should clarify

The service name alone does not define every activity or responsibility.

TopicWhat should be writtenCommon boundary
Goods and inventoryHome, office or vehicle goods, special items, quantity, condition and declared exclusionsUndisclosed goods may require a revised quote or refusal
PackingMaterials, company-packed or customer-packed status, fragile and special-care scopeUnpacking every carton is not automatic
Labour and handlingLoading, unloading, placement, dismantling, basic assembly and heavy-item planningTechnician, carpentry, electrical or installation work may be separate
Route and vehiclePickup, destination, vehicle option, shared or dedicated movement and accessA listed route does not guarantee availability
Building accessFloor, lift, stairs, parking, long carry, gate pass and permitted timingCustomer normally arranges permissions unless written otherwise
Charges and taxesService charge, GST treatment, material, labour, route and agreed additionsChanged inventory or access may affect the quotation
StorageFacility, inventory, duration, access, retrieval, onward movement and chargesStorage is available only when expressly confirmed in writing
Insurance supportRequested support, declared value, premium or charge and insurer documentsCoverage depends on insurer terms and declared value
TimingConfirmed date, reporting window, access timing and available delivery guidanceNo blanket guaranteed timeline unless expressly written and legally valid
Customer-held itemsValuables, originals, medicines, personal devices and prohibited goodsThese should not be packed with ordinary moving goods
Claims and Insurance

Two related but separate processes

The same photographs or inventory may be relevant, but the decision-maker and governing rules are different.

Company handling review

Claim review is available for damage caused during company handling, subject to the confirmed scope, declared condition, packing responsibility and evidence.

  • Reviews company handling connection
  • Considers quotation and condition records
  • Considers customer- or company-packed status
  • Does not create automatic full replacement

Transit insurance assessment

Transit insurance support is available on request. Coverage depends on the insurer’s terms and declared value.

  • Requested before handover
  • Governed by insurer documents
  • May involve depreciation, limits or exclusions
  • Insurer independently decides the outcome
Shared Responsibilities

Information and preparation customers should provide

Accurate disclosure reduces quotation changes, unsafe handling and avoidable disputes.

Inventory and condition

Share goods lists or photographs and disclose fragile, weak, repaired, oversized, high-value or damaged goods.

Building access

Confirm floors, lifts, stairs, parking distance, loading timing, gate passes and restrictions.

Personal valuables

Keep cash, jewellery, original documents, medicines and small irreplaceable items with you.

Personal data devices

Personal laptops, hard drives and sensitive data devices should remain under customer control.

Corporate IT

Selected inventoried corporate IT assets may be moved when written; IT responsibilities remain with the customer or IT vendor.

Plants and living items

Pets and live animals are not handled. Plant survival, freshness or leaf condition cannot be guaranteed.

Storage and insurance

Neither is automatic. Each must be expressly requested and confirmed under the relevant written conditions.

Written review

Read the quotation and relevant policy before payment or handing over goods.

Policy Centre FAQs

Questions about the companywide policy system

These answers provide general guidance. The written quotation, confirmed changes and applicable law remain relevant.

Do the policies apply in both Gurugram and Pune?

Yes. The policy pages are companywide and apply to services booked through authorised DG Singhania Packers channels, subject to the written quotation, confirmed scope and applicable law.

Which document confirms what is included in my move?

The written quotation and any confirmed written changes define the booking-specific goods, packing, labour, vehicle, route, access, charges, taxes, optional services, exclusions and responsibilities.

Do website policies replace my quotation?

No. The policies explain general rules and processes. The written quotation records the actual service selected for the individual booking.

Are company claim review and transit insurance the same?

No. DG Singhania Packers may review whether a reported issue is connected with confirmed company handling, while the insurer independently decides coverage and settlement under its documents.

Is storage automatically included?

No. Storage is available only when expressly confirmed in writing and may have separate facility, inventory, restricted-goods, access, retrieval, billing and insurance conditions.

Where should I check unsafe or customer-carry items?

Use the Restricted Items Policy before packing. Keep cash, jewellery, original documents, medicines, personal laptops and sensitive data devices under customer control.

Can selected corporate computers and IT equipment be moved?

Selected inventoried corporate IT assets may be included in a written office-relocation scope. Backup, shutdown, credentials, data security, reconnection and testing remain customer or IT-vendor responsibilities.

Do the policies exclude all customer rights?

No. Nothing in the website policies excludes a customer right or company obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
